The President of Pakistan Hon Mr Arif Alvi called upon the executive members of APPNE for an official meeting on 24 September 2020. The meeting on zoom from the President house.It was an interactive session with the President of Pakistan who was very interested in the Democratic Pakistani representative association of doctors in UK. 
The association extended help in President's vision of remote under and post graduate teaching and expert advise in public and primary health initiatives. The President was appreciative of APPNE's initiatives in helping IMG and rendering opportunities for training for Pakistani doctors. 
 
Arif Alvi spoke candidly and praised the efforts of the team. He explained the Covid situation in Pakistan measures to tackle it. He was interested to know collaborations of APPNE with Yaran e watan and the series of educational activities during the pandemic. He was also apprised of the challenges that Pakistani IMG had to endure during the recent crisis and how the association was pivotal in liaising with home office, GMC, high commission and local trusts to help the situation and also successfully lobbied to reduce the health surcharge. 
 
In the end, he suggested that APPNE continue its collaboration with CPSP and regulatory authorities PMC. 
To engage with higher educational commission HEC Pakistan and universities/ own alma mater to arrange web based teaching and webinars.
