The President Dr Amir Burney , General Secretary Mr Irfan Akhtar of APPNE and APPNE member Dr Shahid Latif met with HE. Mr Zahoor Ahmed the Ambassador of Pakistan to Sweden 🇸🇪 
 
The meeting was also attended by members of the medical fraternity from Sweden including Dr Javed and Diplomats from the Pakistan’s Embassy in Sweden including Mr Abdul Razzak Thebo and Mr Irfan Ahmed. 
 
The team from APPNE informed the distinguished guests about APPNE’s vision and Democratic framework, APPNE’s work in academic, social , political and charitable activities across Pakistan 🇵🇰 and internationally ranging from Australia, Middle East , Europe and USA. 
 
Following an engaging discussion on many matters of mutual interest and a highly interactive session, APPNE’s work was highly appreciated and it was agreed in principle to further mutual contacts with the intention to work collaboratively towards helping both in Pakistan and the Pakistani Asian Diaspora across Europe. Dr Javed very kindly agreed to disseminate information about APPNE within the Swedish Pakistani medical diaspora. 
 
 
President APPNE Dr Amir Burney extended his gratitude on behalf of APPNE to the Honourable Ambassador, Diplomats and fellow healthcare professionals from the medical fraternity for their time and giving APPNE the opportunity to introduce them to APPNE’s work and future aspirations. 
 
Mr Zahoor Ahmed stressed the importance of social interaction and role modelling from within the Pakistani communities. He also advised to develop strong relationships between the various European Pakistani diasporas. 
 
It was agreed that a second meeting will be organised in the coming weeks to further discuss matters of mutual interest.
